An interactive session was taken with the students, on Moral values which were inculcated through stories, role play, examples, Personal Experiences. Students interacted with a lot of interest. Students promised to follow moral values. The following values were #Respect. (This is one of the most important values to teach children.) ... #Being generous and helpful. ... #Inculcating a sense of responsibility. ... #Never hurt anyone. ... #The value of sharing.
On 13 August 2019 a session with Vivekanand Pathshala students was conducted by Mrs. Monika Gupta ( Maths P.G,T ) and Mrs. Nidhi ( Art teacher). On the occasion of Independence Day, a card making activity was organized to inculcate the feeling of Patriotism among the less privileged. The material i.e paper, sketch pen, colours and fevicol were distributed among the students . The students made beautiful cards showing freedom and they were very excited. Pencil kits were also distributed to all the students.
On 3 september 2019, as a part of Gandhi Jayanti celebrations,a special session was conducted for the students of Vivekananda Pathshala. The topic of the activity was “cleanliness”. After highlighting the importance of good hygiene and keeping our surroundings clean,a short nukkad natika was staged. Our students from class 9 to 11 presented the musical skit in a light and humorous manner. The children not only enjoyed the presentation,but also got a message for life. Another highlight of the show was a talk on proper waste disposal , care and protection from diseases. The event was conducted under the guidance of Mrs Manisha and Mrs Poonam Kalra. The day ended with a small question answer session and distribution of soaps to the students of Vivekananda Pathshala.
We are grateful that our school gave us the opportunity to meet the unprivileged children and help them in making rakhies for the auspicious occasion conducted on 06 August, 2019. Along with rakhi making, pencil sets were also distributed to them which made them very happy. It was an enriching experience not only for the teachers, Ms.Ramneek Kapoor , MrsDavinder Kaur, Ms.Mahinder Kaur butfor the under privileged children as well. A lot of enthusiasm was shown by the children in preparing RAKHIES. The zeal to learn something and happiness of making beautiful rakhies was a scene to be cherished.
Water is the most precious gift of nature. It is an essential component of life and is vital for sustenance. Without water nothing can live, thus water conservation has become a need of the hour. Keeping this in mind the students of Vivekanand Pathshala were motivated to Save Water. Different ways of saving water were discussed with the students. New and innovative methods of saving water were shown to the students through Extramarks modules. Students promised that they will save water at their home and school as well as motivate others to do the same.
A very interactive session was planned and conducted on MATHEMATICS TRICKS. Students were shown simple ways of learning two digit tables. Examples were given and discussed followed by hand on exercise given to the students. An overwhelming participation by the students proved that learning can be fun if taught in a joyful manner. A very interactive session was conducted on Good Manners. Examples from daily routine were given and discussed with the students. Students were encouraged to share their acts of good mannerism and the ones whose acts were adjudged the best were rewarded accordingly.
"Each of us must work for his own improvement, and at the same time share a general responsibility for all humanity." In JKPS we felt delighted in serving our little bit towards humanity. A flameless cooking session was conducted for the students of Vivekananda Pathshala on 12th February 2019. The students of Pathshala were taught to make fruit chaat. Keeping sanitation in mind, the students washed their hands properly before starting the session. Students were taught about importance of nutritious food. They enjoyed making, distributing and eating fruit chaat. Scales were also distributed.
Basant Panchami activity was conducted in the Vivekananda Pathshala on February 8, 2019 with great zeal. The students were uprised about the significance of Basant Panchami. They were told that Basant Panchmi, the auspicious festival of the Hindus marks the end of the winter season and onset of spring season. The festival is dedicated to the goddess of learning and knowledge, Goddess Saraswati. After paying homage to Goddess Saraswati, the children recited and wrote a poem on Basant Panchami. They also wrote few lines on the importance of Basant Panchami. All the students participated in the activity with great enthusiasm. At the end of the pathshala students were given yellow sweet rice as a token of appreciation. The purpose of conducting such activities is to make the students aware of their culture and tradition.
Christmas is a time of celebration, hope and laughter. Perhaps the only time when children all over the world wake up bright and early with a gleam in their eyes and a smile on their lips, ready to rip open and enjoy their crisply wrapped presents. In order to bring the joy and light of Christmas into the lives of our children of Vivekananda Paathshala, our school organised Christmas celebration for them on December 24, 2019. We began by discussing about the importance of celebrating Christmas. The children amazed us with their beautiful drawing of Christmas Tree and felt extremely delighted to receive the appreciation for the same. As Christmas is incomplete without gifts, we made sure to distribute special gifts amongst them in the form of small hampers containing packets of biscuits, chips, etc. The Christmas Celebration at Vivekananda Paathshala set the tone for the coming New Year, a year that promises to be full of smiling faces, unity and self-reliance.
Vedic Mathematics Tricks “Mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.” – Albert Einstein To inculcate the skill of intelligent guessing in the young minds of the Vivekananda Pathshala children, a session was held on December 3, 2018 (Tuesday). The session was conducted by Ms. Ruchi Garg. The students were taught various Mathematical tricks from Vedic Mathematics, which is a magical tool to reduce scratch work and finger counting and improve mental calculations. The children enjoyed solving problems using the tricks. The session was culminated by gifting crayon boxes to the 43 students of Vivekananda Pathshala.
Vivekananda paathshala is an integral part of JKPS community service. This inculcates the spirit of humanity. Children made Diwali cards and decorated them beautifully. This activity enhanced their aesthetic sense. The children were told that Diwali is a festival of lights. They were explained to celebrate cracker free and ecofriendly Diwali. They were explained to make colorful rangoli with dry colors and flowers. The students of kindergarten made diyas which were distributed amongst the paathshala children. JKPS took pride in distributing packets for Diwali containing erasers, mixtures, snacks, candles, biscuits, sweets, pencils, colors, sharpners and notebooks for paathshala children. Not only this, another initiative which JKPS took was for daily wage workers. They were given a basket containing rice, sugar, pulses, salt, bedsheets, tea leaves, torch etc as a Diwali gift. All these activities added a feather to the cap of JKPS in the field of service to the humanity and mankind which instilled the festivity fervour
Rangoli making activity was conducted in the Vivekananda Pathshala on October 5, 2018. At first the students were uprised about the importance of colours in one’s life. By organizing such activity skills of aesthetics, creativity and innovation was developed among them. All the students participated in the activity with great enthusiasm. Glitter sheets, Colourful sheets, mirrors etc were used in making the rangoli. In this one hour long activity students put together their artistic, imaginative and creative skills to make bright and colourful rangoli. Students were also given sweets and reading books as a token of appreciation. The artistically coloured and decorated rangolis were a treat to the eyes.
As an endeavor to bring smiles to the students enrolled with Jaspal Kaur Public School Community Outreach program, an Adventure Camp was organized in collaboration with Great Rocksport Camps. On 9 October’18 the students of Vivekananda Pathshala enjoyed the Zip Line, Double Rope Bridge, Commando Bridge, Hop Scotch, Commando Net, River Crossing, etc. The students took the opportunity to build up their skills and fulfill their quest for adventure. All the students enjoyed the session to the fullest. After the camp, the students were provided with registers and eatables. On the whole, the day was a fulfilling one.
The class celebrated Independence Day on 14th August 2018. It was a very lively and interactive session. Students were asked and told about the significance of freedom and this day. Later on a Flag making activity was conducted. Children were given glazed sheets of orange and green colour. They had to make Indian Flag using their creativity. It was followed by Slogan writing. Slogans by famous freedom fighters were discussed and children had to write any one. The celebrations were wrapped up with National Anthem being sung by one and all followed by distribution of biscuits. JAI HIND
PAPER BAG GAME On 10 August 2018,students of Vivekananda paathshala learnt the skill of making paper bags enthusiastically. With plastic menace ever growing and considering its ill-effects on the environment,children were taught that handmade bags are the best alternatives as they are eco-friendly. The paper bags were made with old newspapers. To make the bags more attractive, students used different colours. Hence, we can conclude that these child care activity ideas ensure that children are occupied and learn,while having fun.
On 3 August , 2018 , Vivekananda Pathshala , students were enlightened about FIRST AID BOX by Manjari Sharma . In pathshala teachers told the students about first aid which is an assistance given to any person suffering from a sudden illness or injury . Then teachers told about the importance , aims and conditions that often require first aid . Teachers also showed a first aid box to students and explained them the need of each and every material . The students learnt many new things and they will be able to use first aid in the times of need .
A session on 'Spiritual Learning' was conducted on 20 July 2018 i.e Tuesday in Vivekananda Pathshala. The session began by informing the children about the meaning and significance of spiritual learning. They focused on understanding the purpose of spiritual learning that it does not prevent us from facing times of darkness but it teaches us how to use the darkness as a tool. The children chanted the most peaceful word 'Om' thrice and felt the inner peace in their body. They learnt a prayer, 'Tumhi Ho Mata, Pita Tumhi Ho...' and were also appreciated for singing it so beautifully. They made their To-Do-List and promised to follow it every single day. That list included: count your blessings, practice kindness, let go of what you can't control, forgive others, be productive yet peaceful and just breathe. In the end, they accepted their refreshment and thanked god for all his blessings.
The students of Vivekananda pathshala had a session of badminton coaching in the school on May 1 . The students got an opportunity to learn some techniques of badminton and do some physical training exercises too. Some promising students were gifted a racket each in order to excel in the sport and continue their practice in their endeavours.
Vivekananda Pathshala is an integral part of JKPS Community Service. This inculcates the spirit of humanity. Art Class was conducted for the students of Vivekananda Paathshasla on 24 April 2018 under the guidance of Ms. Nidhi Chanana. The students were taught about the basics of art like how to draw and colour. They made a beautiful fruit basket with the help of basic lines & shapes. This Art session added more interest and enthusiasm to their colourful day.
Children of Vivekanand Pathshala who were born in the month of January were excited to celebrate their birthday with their peer group in J.K.P.S. on January 29, 2019. The birthday wishes, cake cutting ceremony, cards and gifts were the highlights of the Birthday bash. Pencils and Erasers were also distributed to all the children present there.
Birthday celebrations are always cheerful, especially when all your friends are a part of the merrymaking. As a venture to see the sparkling smiles and glowing eyes of our birthday stars of Vivekananda Pathshala, the birthday celebration was organized for the month of December by J.K.P.S. The students whose birthday falls in the month of December were gifted with beautiful and useful presents. All students enjoyed the luscious cake and delectable snacks with their friends. All the students were gifted with notebooks. The whole session was very delightful and entertaining for the students and the teachers. The session concluded by giving birthday wishes to the birthday stars with sparkling smiles.

For example what they feel about Vivekanank Paathshala, how it helps them in solving their individual problems and that they have gained from this school. 3. The session was concluded by chorus reciting of “Vivekanand” prayer. 4. At the end, muffins were distributed among the children to celebrate school birthday.
CHARITY- THE ROOT OF ALL GOOD DEEDS Rightly said, Be someones sunshine, when their sky is grey. In order to make the students understand the importance of deeds of giving we organised a small event on April 3, 2018 i.e Tuesday where the students of class V gifted their well packed school winter track suits to the children of Vivekananda Pathshala. This small act of kindness helped us in making them realise that how their not-to- be-used school winter track suits could be so valuable to those children. It was not only about making a donation but making a difference.
