Together We Can & Together We Will'is the key mantra of JKPS, when we talk about our inclusive set up in the regular framework of education platform. We, at JKPS strive to give equal opportunities to all the children irrespective of the intellectual, physical or any other challenges faced by them in their learning phase.
To cater the needs of Children with special needs (CWSN), the school has a barrier-free campus for their mobility .Also school incorporate all the guidelines proposed by CBSE for imparting education within inclusive set up. Regular sessions are taken up special educator. Sessions are based on the detailed Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is being prepared by Special educator after conducting the baseline screening of the child at school level that includes classroom observation, behavior, activities conducted within peer group, observation done by teachers attending the child and child's behavior at home along with formal clinical assessment done by registered centres approved by CBSE. Learning also includes at School different techniques such as play therapy, sensory techniques, fine motor skill development & eye hand coordination.
The approach towards learning in JKPS also integrate recommendations suggested by CBSE by including exemptions of 3rd language ,subject changing option in board examination. Also, in house accommodations during the exam are being incurred for students by giving extra time, modification of paper and other requirements as per the need of the student.
Regular counseling is given to parents and also given guidance for vocational courses that can be taken up by their children after completing their schooling .
JKPS pledges to stand by the side of all the children and help them outshine in the beautiful world.

Emotional Resilience

JKPS has not only extended its hand in helping its children but also extended its warmth to their respective parents on online mode by organizing workshop on "Emotional Resilience" during this unforeseen situation. The workshop was conducted by School Counsellor and Special Educator for the parents of class 6 to 12 in the month of July, 2020. Workshop highlighted on developing the basics of mindfulness and positive psychology. It also enlightened parents to focus on developing self-confidence, self-esteem and also focusing on having a Me-Time to keep themselves resilient during this difficult time of pandemic.
School counsellor along with computer department also took workshop for parents as well as students on Cybercrime & how to keep yourself safe during these online classes.

"Time Management is Life Management" "Arranging, Organizing & Budgeting" time to accomplish any activity was the key mantra of the workshop organized by JKPS Counselling & Special education deptt. for the parents of class Pre-Primary to class 5 on "Time Management" during the month of September, 2020. Managing the time and schedule of children during this hard time of pandemic was the biggest challenge for parents, which was eased out by sharing different activities which could be carried out by parents to manage time in the effective manner and could be beneficial for students.
