Pre-Primary

At JKPS we strongly believe that “Children are not things to be molded, but are people to be unfolded.” Pre- school and Pre-Primary curriculum is designed to guide the children through a learner centered approach in the most efficient manner according to their own ability to cope with the formal learning situation in primary grades. The children are involved into ample activities as the children learn the most through them. Computer aided learning programme has been adopted to make learning interesting and effective. Various audio-visual modules are used to teach the concepts.

Primary

Classes I-III

JKPS offers an innovative curriculum that promotes collaborative work, focusses on promoting cognitive, physical, social and emotional development of each learner. To avoid stress and to make learning an enjoyable experience, the school acknowledges and aims to meet students’ diverse needs. The primary school focuses on the students’ need to know, understand and develop the ability to experiment, explore and discover through an interactive environment. The activities are designed to enhance the interest of students in the subject besides linking the information with their daily life to keep it relevant to them. The session is divided into three terms. First Term from April to August, Second Term from September to December and third term from January to March. Each term will have a cycle of Unit Test and internal evaluation for Scholastic areas. Students will be assessed on regular basis during the teaching and learning process in order to develop a sense of curiosity and desire to explore. Assessment will be done through a continuous and interactive process involving group activities, physical activities, presentations, assignments, speaking and comprehension skills. Children are observed and evaluated at regular intervals and the progress report is shared time to time with the parents. The focus is on identifying the talents of the learner and to empower him with positive inputs.

Classes IV-V

At JKPS students are taught to be lifelong learner through independent thinking, reading, writing and analytical skills. The activities are selected to enhance the interest of students in the subject besides linking the information with their daily life to keep it relevant to them. The session is divided into two terms. First Term from April to September. Second Term from October to March. The evaluation is based on formal tests, informal assessments and activities. Each term has a cycle of unit test and one Term End Exam (Half yearly /Final Exam) for Scholastic areas. Emphasis is also laid on discipline, regularity in attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, attitude towards peers, teachers, other school staff, parents and society.

Middle School

Classes VI-VIII

At JKPS, the middle school years (from classes 6 to 8) provide the foundation on which young learners build a promising and fulfilling future. This phrase successfully provides for the emotional, physical & social wellbeing of young minds who in turn will be self-aware, creative, empathetic listeners & effective communicators.

The classes as well as special assemblies offer ample opportunities to each child to go up on stage and showcase his/her talent while keeping in mind the intrinsic values of their august institution.

All the activities and program contribute towards nurturing 21st century learners who will be equipped to face the world of tomorrow.

The middle school at JKPS provides a challenging and engaging curriculum in which every student develops into a well-grounded young adult.

Senior School

The Academic Program of JKPS is dynamic, versatile, and holistic, catering to learners’ needs, societal aspirations, and global standards through the seamless integration of technology, experiential learning, and human intellect.

Secondary Classes IX - X

At JKPS, we follow the CBSE Secondary Curriculum for Classes IX and X, offering students a broad and balanced understanding of core subjects — Languages, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. The curriculum equips learners with the ability to communicate effectively, think critically, take informed decisions, and develop a worldview rooted in constitutional values, empowering them to become responsible and productive citizens. The curriculum is designed to help students connect learning with real-life contexts and apply knowledge meaningfully. Equal emphasis is given to holistic development through Health and Physical Education, Life Skills, Value Education, Art Education, Work Education, and other Co-Scholastic areas. The school implements the CBSE-prescribed syllabus with a focus on competency-based and experiential learning.

Senior Classes XI - XII

JKPS follows the CBSE Scheme of Studies for Classes XI and XII. Under this scheme, each student opts for one compulsory language at the core level along with four elective subjects. The school offers these subjects under three streams — Science, Commerce, and Humanities. The curriculum not only prepares students for Board Examinations but also addresses their wider learning needs, aspirations, and future pathways. Curriculum planning is carried out proactively to ensure that coursework remains innovative, interdisciplinary, and relevant to real-life contexts. It lays strong emphasis on developing effective communication skills, analytical thinking, environmental consciousness, scientific temperament, and physical well-being, thereby fostering holistic and competency-based learning.
