With this beautiful and motivating thought, Jaspal Kaur Public School, Shalimar Bagh, conducted the Class II Annual Project Show, 'Aashayein... Sapnon Ki Manzil’ on Saturday, December 23, 2023, in the school premises. The programme commenced by invoking the divine blessings of the Almighty with a blissful Shabad recital, followed by the lighting of the lamp. Mr. Vikas Kalia, Regional Director of Education (North/Central), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Pawanpreet Kaur, an alumnus of JKPS and Associate Consultant at Sehgal Neo Hospital, was the Guest of Honour. The school chairman, S. Surjeet Singh, and vice chairperson, Mrs. Rasna Singh, also presided over the function, among other dignitaries. The school principal, Mrs. Asha Saran Srivastava, extended a warm welcome to all the esteemed guests. Following the spirited start, the audience experienced a graceful welcome dance characterized by a seamless blend of precision and elegance. The dancers, adorned in beautiful costumes, moved in perfect harmony, creating a visual spectacle that left the audience captivated. The event reached new heights with a mesmerising performance from our young Jaspalians showcasing the Karma Dance, an art form renowned for its expressive storytelling. The dancers took the audience on a journey through intricate choreography, conveying profound emotions and narratives through symbolic movements. It was followed by the captivating depiction of 'I am Kalam.' The story, inspired by the life of the former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, touched the hearts of the audience. Through thoughtful narration and compelling performances, the students brought to life the inspirational journey of a young boy overcoming challenges to pursue education and aspire for greatness. Mr. Vikas Kalia, Chief Guest, addressed the audience and praised the project. He was thrilled to see the enthusiasm among the children who presented such a wonderful show. He also shared personal anecdotes and experiences, drawing parallels between his journey and the potential that lies within each student. The speech resonated deeply with the audience, leaving a lasting impression upon students and parents alike. Dr. Pawanpreet Kaur, Guest of Honour, remembered her old times spent in the school and motivated the students to perform their best according to their capacity and capability. Mrs. Shikha Dhameja, the headmistress, rendered a vote of thanks by expressing her gratitude for the presence of such fine dignitaries and appreciating the tireless efforts of the students, parents, and teachers. The show concluded with the National Anthem.
