FRI DAY ACTIVITY

Biscuits They attempted a quiz on balanced diet to learn and understand the importance of balanced diet. Students of class 3 had a virtual tour to popular biscuit factory in India-Britannia and learnt some amazing facts about biscuits. As a part of activity Class 1 and 2 prepared Biscuit sandwich and Class 3 prepared Biscuit Cake:

Butterfly Students of Class 1 and 2 virtually examined live butterflies, they floated with butterflies in a rainforest cave, and saw a museum collection of the most beautiful butterflies in the world in this virtual tour. Students attempted the colours quiz which aimed to help class 1 children recognize the names of colours. Students of class 3 visited Australian Butterfly Sanctuary- one of the most beautiful Butterfly Garden in the world, learnt some fascinating facts about butterflies and butterfly’s life cycle. Bread Students of Class 1, 2 and 3 took a virtual tour of bakery and learnt how bread is made. Some interesting facts about bread were shared with children. Children of Class 1 and 2 enjoyed making teddy bear bread whereas students of class 3 were asked to explore and make any flameless dish using bread. Students sharing pictures of the same:
This is organized every Friday as a part of Theme Work. In this students are taken for a virtual tour as real tour so that they don’t miss out the exposure and for healthy learning. Students attempt a quiz or learn some facts related to the theme for better understanding. They also do hands on activity related to the theme .

Safety and First- Aid Workshop

A training activity on Safety and First-Aid was conducted by the School nurse Mrs. Alice Samuel for grade III students in the assembly hall on November 8, 2019. The students were told about the importance of first aid and what are the essential contents of a first- aid box. Practical demonstration was also helped the students to learn the kind of first-aid to be used during minor injury. The students learnt a lot from the session.
Janmashtami Celebration

Janmashtami is one of the most vibrant and joyful festival that is celebrated all over the world to mark the birthday of Lord Krishna, the god of love and compassion. The students of JKPS celebrated Janmashtami through a special assembly, where students enacted and spoke about the diverse ‘Leelas’ of Sri Krishna. The students illustrated the fact that whenever there will be dominance of malevolence ‘He’ will reincarnate to destroy the evil and save the good. The students presented scintillating dance performances that represented His ‘Leelas’ and depicted the importance of the occasion. This was followed by a speech by the respected Principal Sir and Headmistress Ma’am, who discussed the various lessons we learn from the life of Lord Krishna.
EVS Competition
“Monuments and archaeological pieces serve as testimonies of man's greatness and establish a dialogue between civilizations showing the extent to which human beings are linkedâ€. -Vicente Fox As an endeavour to celebrate and revive the architectural heritage of India, a competition was organised for Class II. The students were encouraged to explore interesting facts about different monuments in India and share it with their fellow students and teachers. The students were judged on the basis of confidence, content, props and the overall presentation. Such competitions help the students to gain knowledge and enhance their presentation skills. ENGLISH POEM RECITATION COMPETITION

Poems are essential for the young learners as they are " The best words written in the best order."
English Poem Recitation Competition of class II was held on 5 October 2018.Students prepared poems on different moral values. Students not only memorized the poem but also learnt voice modulation , pitch , pause and diction which contributed to the entire recitation experience as well as enhancing the meaning of the poem.
All the students recited the poem with confidence and enthusiasm. Props enhanced the visceral quality.
