INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Safety and First- Aid Workshop
A training activity on Safety and First-Aid was conducted by the School nurse Mrs. Alice Samuel for grade III students in the assembly hall on November 8, 2019. The students were told about the importance of first aid and what are the essential contents of a first- aid box. Practical demonstration was also helped the students to learn the kind of first-aid to be used during minor injury. The students learnt a lot from the session.
Maths Activity Village
In an effort to lay a strong foundation of mathematics among the grade II and grade III students, a Maths activity was conducted on October 23, 2019 in the activity room. The students enjoyed participating in various mathematical puzzles which challenged their reasoning and creative thinking skills. The aim of the activity was to teach the students about basic thinking and reasoning skills in a playful manner. All the puzzles were enjoyed by the students thoroughly.
SPELL A WORD ACTIVITY
Vocabulary development plays a vital role in acquiring English language skills. In order to develop the vocabulary of the students, ‘Spell a word Activity’ was conducted in the month of October. A team of five students was selected from each section in the preliminary round. The children were asked to spell a variety of words and each team performed brilliantly in the final round. DRAWING AND COLOURING COMPETITION
A Drawing and colouring competition for class-III was held on 26.04.18. All the students from class-III -A, B, C and D participated in the Activity with great enthusiasm. The students were asked to draw any animal figure alongwith the background. The students displayed a lot of creativity and drew many animal figures like lion, tiger, monkey, elephant, horse etc. and showed their artistic talent. The backgrounds were very colourful and attractive. The Activity helped the students to explore their imagination and produce the same on a sheet of paper.

Class 3rd project show
"Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow." Keeping this in mind, we have made project shows an intergral part of JKPS curriculum in order to keep inspiring our students to learn new things. On 4th February, 2017, a project show was organised by the students of Class 3. Students participated in various items like Shabad recital, an english play- "Sound Of Music" and "A Why Why Girl". Rajasthani folk song, South Indian dance and Hasya Kavi Sammelan not only enamoured the audience but also contributed to children learning newer things. Our Chief Guest, Mr. A.S. Cheema, an IPS officer and guest of honour Dr. Hemant Sahni graced the occasion with their presence. It was also attended by our honourable chairman sir S. Surjit Singh Ji and other dignitaries. It was wonderful to be such young artists perform with such enthusiasm and fervour.
ENGLISH READING COMPETITION
English reading competition was held for class 3 students on 15th February, 2017. The students were given a passage from Primary Plus, which they read confidently. This activity helped them to enhance their reading skills and vocabulary. The winners were selected on the basis of pronunciation, voice modulation, clarity and intonation. The students were excited and enjoyed participating in the competition.
