National Youth Day

The philosophy of Swami Vivekananda continues to be a great source of inspiration to the youth of our Nation. According to Vivekananda, a country’s future depends on its people, stating that “man-making is my mission”. He fostered new enthusiasm for progress among the youth, so much so that the whole country celebrates his birth anniversary as “National Youth Day”.To offer our tribute to the great teacher, JKPS celebrated National Youth Day on 12th January 2021.

World Energy Conservation Day

World Energy Conservation Day is observed on December 14 every year. It focuses on creating awareness in people regarding the importance of energy conservation and ways to achieve it to deal with the crisis of climate change and global warming. The day aims at spreading awareness among people to conserve natural resources like petroleum and coal for the future generation. Students of classes IV & V were shown a PPT and videos which emphasized conserving non-renewable resources of energy. They also made beautiful ‘I Promise’ wall hangings in which they wrote how they would contribute to saving energy and took a pledge to follow them.

New Year Celebration

With every New Year comes a clean slate — so what will you do with this fresh start?
This was the point to ponder over from this week’s assembly take away. The assembly began with a positive thought followed by a sneak peek into the stories from antiquity about the onset of the concept of New Year. A few video links were shared to propel the young learners to swear off every kind of virtue so that they triumph even when they fall. Students were told about the gratitude jar and a few New Year food traditions across the globe were shown to them. All the children participated with great enthusiasm and enjoyed the assembly.

Air Force Day Celebration (Class: VI & VII)

The sky can't dictate boundaries for them, for they pledged towards the safety of their motherland. They guard the air borders and they pave the path towards heightened security. They are our defenders, the Indian Air Force.  October 8 is celebrated as the Air Force Day every year. Teamed with gratitude for the Air Force personnel and Air Force being the most important defender of any nation ‘Air Force Day’ was commemorated in JKPS with great zeal and fervour. The event encapsulated programmes like, speech, quiz, PPT, videos based on the bravery of the Indian Air Force etc. The videos apprised the students about the history of Indian Air Force and some heroic facts. Quiz activated their brains and motivational videos created an ambience of Nation’s pride. The young students got inspired by the unmatched stories of these fearless heroes and got motivated to choose Air Force as a career.
