Reading stretches the child’s mind and introduces the child into the world of wonder… class 1 students were encouraged to participate in the English Reading Competition on 31 -01-2018. The judge for the competition was Mrs. Lalita Moses. The students were provided with story books which they had to read loudly on the mike , each child was judged on their pronunciation, confidence while reading the story. All the students performed very well.

For the month of November students of class 1 participated in word building competition to enhance their vocabulary skills which plays a vital role in a students life. It was held on 29 November 2017 in the class. They were all given a word “ENVIRONMENT” and the students had to build as many 2-3-4 letter words using the letters. The students participated with lots of excitement and confidence. The winners were shortlisted on the criteria of the maximum words they could build.

Students of class 1 celebrated and spread the love and happiness of festivals. The students learnt beautiful poems on various festivals from Diwali , Baisakhi, Christmas, Gandhi Jayanti etc. The preliminary round was conducted in the classrooms to provide an opportunity to recite their poems. A neat and beautiful writing always seeks attention and appreciation of others. To develop awareness and love for good hand writing , JKPS organized handwriting competition for class 1 on 14-7-2017. All the students participated enthusiastically for the event. They were asked to write one page in the best of their handwritings . They were judged on the basis of the neatness, formation of letters and spacing. The competition re-emphasized the importance of good handwriting among students and they were judged by the teachers.

CLASS I PROJECT SHOW
Our project days are organized to help each child find their own hidden talents and enhance their personality for a holistic development of the child. Project show for class 1 was held on 25th February 2017 . The young Jaspalians from all the four sections participated in various items like Shabad recital, The English plays Happiness is priceless and Happiness comes from Harmony were a roaring success followed by the folk dance of Uttar Pradesh (a Bhojpuri foot tapping number), an English song on togetherness and last but not the least an outstanding Qawali performance . The chief guest for the function was Mr. Premchand Palety , CEO Cfore and the guest of honour was Deeksha Katyal . Our esteemed chairman Sardar Surjit Singh Ji and Vice chairperson Mrs Rasna Singh with other distinguished guests graced the occasion. The function was appreciated by one and all. The parents were overwhelmed to see their child perform . They could see promising young artists in each one of them. It was a commendable show and carried out flawlessly by the young MC. Moments of happiness and pride were captured by the photographer and the memories will be cherished by all.
Republic day is one of the most significant national events .
It was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students of class 1 at JKPS.
Students recited a beautiful poem on I LOVE MY COUNTRY INDIA.
Some students enthusiastically spoke about Republic day .
Teachers discussed about the parade that was held on 26 th January at Rajpath.
In the end , all the students sang the national anthem .
All the students participated with a lot of vigour and in the true spirit of nationalism .
They all danced on CHAK DE INDIA AND JAI HO .
Christmas brings lots of happiness in our lives .
The best gift we can give is spread love and happiness .

on the table during Christmas carnival.

On account of Gandhi Jayanti, students were shown a movie depicting Gandhi Ji's Life and his valuable teachings. Teachers interacted with the students about Mahatma Gandhi's Life and his teachings. Students were inspired and actively participated in the interaction.
Class 1 organised their English recitation competition on 24-10-16. From each class 10 students participated in the competition with a lot of enthusiasm and prepared beautiful props to judge the little poets we had MRS LALITA MOSES .
