Jaspal Kaur Public School, Shalimar Bagh celebrated the Pre-School Orientation Programme on Saturday, April 3, 2021, virtually. The programme commenced by seeking the blessings of the Almighty with a blissful Mool Mantra and divine Shabad recital. The Principal, Mrs. Asha Saran Srivastava welcomed the new parents and pre-school students to the Jaspalian family with an enlightening quote “If you are planning for a year, sow rice if you are planning for a decade, plant trees if you are planning for a lifetime, educate peopleâ€. She took them through the digital journey and gave them a holistic glimpse of our JKPS world. To welcome the parents and the students, a melodious ‘Welcome song’ was presented by our young and talented pre-primary students. Headmistress Mrs. Shikha Dhameja further helped the parents dive deep into the world of J.K.P.S. She provided information regarding the multitudinous aspects and pedagogical journey that we will take ahead for the young entrants. Pre-school teachers were also introduced thereafter. Teachers threw light on the ways of teaching adopted at the school, highlighting the importance of moral values, the plethora of academic enrichment activities, scholastic and co-scholastic activities that will accelerate the learning capacity of children. They further elucidated the school motto, ‘Shub Karman Tey Kabhoo na Taron’ and explained guidelines on how to attend online classes in order to create a healthy and fulfilling student-teacher experience. Our pre-primary students and their parents also shared the experience of the online classes that JKPS conducted during this unprecedented year, 2020-21. It was overwhelming to see active participation of fathers in orientation program. Furthermore, to culminate, the parents were taken through a virtual visit to our school through a beautiful compilation ‘I love my School,’ followed by the National Anthem.
